The present demonstration involved Taipei Arena and local bank and internet and POS transactions were performed. The activity served the purpose to validate SEMOPS capabilities in the local environment, to asses the technical feasibility of the service.

In the second phase of the trial operation, which will be ended by May 2008, off-us transactions will be performed with the involvement of more banks and the leading TV shopping company.

The third and final stage of the evaluation is planned to run for 6 to 9 months and if successful will lead to commercial introduction in 2009.

SEMOPS is represented by AvisoTech in Taiwan and a new commercial venture is planned to be set up for the operation of the service.
